Description

XCD oil drilling fluid is a pale yellow powder. It is a high-performance treatment agent designed specifically for water-based drilling fluids, completion fluids, and workover fluids. It has multiple functions, including thickening, reducing filtration loss, suspending, and stabilizing the wellbore. XCD is suitable for all mineralization systems, from fresh water to saturated brine, and is a core material for drilling in high-temperature, high-salt, and complex formations.

Application

Xanthan gum is a highly efficient, high-quality, and environmentally friendly drilling mud additive used in natural gas and oil drilling. Its main functions include adjusting drilling fluid rheology, providing strong suspension for drill cuttings, stabilizing the wellbore, reducing formation damage, and providing resistance to high temperatures and salinity. Its unique high pseudoplasticity allows the drilling fluid to maintain optimal viscosity under different shear conditions, significantly improving drilling efficiency.

Performance

The specific functions of XCD xanthan gum in natural gas and oil drilling are as follows:

1. Highly efficient viscosity increase and suspension: Even at low concentrations (0.1%-0.4%), xanthan gum can significantly increase drilling fluid viscosity, suspend barite and drill cuttings, and prevent drill cuttings from settling and causing downhole accidents when the pump is stopped.
2. Excellent pseudoplasticity: It exhibits high viscosity under low shear (static) conditions, which helps carry sand and gravel; under high shear (pumping or drill bit), the viscosity drops sharply, reducing pump pressure and increasing drilling speed.
3. Temperature and salt resistance: Drilling fluid systems composed of xanthan gum have excellent temperature and salt resistance properties. Adapting to complex drilling environments, xanthan gum maintains its stability and performance in special drilling environments such as marine environments and high-salinity formations, unaffected by temperature and salinity.
4. Protection of oil and gas reservoirs: The resulting filter cake is thin and tough, effectively preventing formation collapse, reducing mud intrusion, and protecting the reservoir.
5. Environmentally friendly: Xanthan gum is biodegradable and suitable for environmentally friendly drilling fluid systems with high environmental requirements.

Packaging & Shipping

Packaging: Packaging is provided in 25kg three-in-one kraft paper bags or paper-plastic composite bags. Custom packaging is also available upon request.

Storage and Transportation: When storing, take precautions against heat and moisture, and the stacking layer should not exceed 20 layers. The ideal storage temperature is 15℃ to 30℃. Dry powder should be kept 20cm off the ground and 20cm away from walls, and stacked no more than 10 layers high.

Shelf Life: 24 months
