Description
Drilling fluid thickener 80A-51 is a white or slightly yellow free-flowing powder, a synthetic polymer-based thickener. It exhibits strong resistance to temperature and salt conditions. At temperatures above 120°C, a dosage of only 0.3% can increase the effective viscosity of drilling fluid to over 25 mPa·s, significantly improving its thixotropic properties and cuttings carrying capacity. 80A-51 viscosifier can also be used as a filtration loss reducer.
Application
Viscosifier 80A-51 primarily functions as a high-efficiency thickener, flow pattern control, filtration loss reduction, anti-collapse coating, and anti-fouling and temperature-resistant agent in oil drilling fluids. This powdered product can significantly increase drilling fluid viscosity, enhance cuttings carrying capacity, and improve wellbore stability with small additions.

The specific functions of viscosifier 80A-51 in oil and gas drilling are as follows:
- High-efficiency viscosity enhancement and shear dilution: It can rapidly increase drilling fluid viscosity and dynamic shear force, has strong cuttings suspension ability, and possesses excellent shear dilution characteristics, facilitating pumping.
- Reduced filtration loss and coating: Viscosifier 80A-51 effectively reduces drilling fluid filtration loss and forms a protective film on the formation surface, exhibiting excellent coating performance, reducing shale hydration swelling, and preventing wellbore collapse.
- Anti-fouling and temperature resistance: 80A-51 is resistant to calcium, magnesium, and salt ion contamination during the drilling process, and can maintain a high viscosity level and remain stable even at certain high temperatures (such as after hot rolling at 120℃).

Packaging & Shipping
Packaging: Packaging is provided in 25kg three-in-one kraft paper bags or paper-plastic composite bags. Custom packaging is also available upon request.
Storage and Transportation: When storing, take precautions against heat and moisture, and the stacking layer should not exceed 20 layers. The ideal storage temperature is 15℃ to 30℃. Dry powder should be kept 20cm off the ground and 20cm away from walls, and stacked no more than 10 layers high.
