Description
K-PAM potassium polyacrylate is an excellent non-toxic, non-corrosive, and environmentally friendly drilling fluid additive. It is a white powder primarily used in natural gas and oil drilling.
Application
K-PAM drilling fluid additive is a drilling mud additive that can reduce filtration loss, improve filter cake, increase viscosity and shear strength, enhance sand carrying and suspension, resist salt and calcium deposits, resist fouling, and assist in lubrication.

Performance
The specific functions of potassium polyacrylamide K-PAM in natural gas and oil drilling are as follows:
- Strong wellbore stabilization (anti-collapse): Potassium ions can undergo ion exchange with water-sensitive clay in shale, making its structure compact, inhibiting shale hydration expansion and spalling, and protecting wellbore stability.
- Suppressing drilling fluid formation: Potassium polyacrylate for oilfield can improve the rheological properties of drilling fluid, coat drill cuttings, and suppress formation drilling fluid formation.
- Reducing fluid loss: The presence of potassium ions can prevent the hydration and spalling of soft shale and hard brittle shale, thus stabilizing the wellbore.
- Good temperature resistance and compatibility: K-PAM has a good fluid loss reduction effect.
- Lubrication and friction reduction: Potassium polyacrylamide has good compatibility with other treatment agents and can be used in both non-dispersible and dispersed drilling fluids.

Packaging & Shipping
Packaging: Packaging is provided in 25kg three-in-one kraft paper bags or paper-plastic composite bags. Custom packaging is also available upon request.
Storage and Transportation: When storing, take precautions against heat and moisture, and the stacking layer should not exceed 20 layers. The ideal storage temperature is 15℃ to 30℃.
Shelf Life: 24 months
