Description
Solid lubricants, primarily made from natural graphite, is a black powder with excellent lubricating properties. Its lamellar crystalline structure forms a robust lubricating film, reducing wear on drill bits, drill strings, and other components, extending their service life. Simultaneously, oil-Soluble graphite can reduce friction between the wellbore and drill strings, preventing stuck pipe and reducing mud buildup on the drill bit.
Application
Solid advanced lubricant (oil-soluble graphite) is mainly used as high-efficiency lubricants and drilling fluid additives in oil drilling. It can significantly reduce the friction between the drill string and the wellbore and enhance the compactness of the drilling mud. By forming a high-temperature resistant and wear-resistant flake graphite lubricating film on the metal surface, oil-soluble solid graphite can improve drilling speed, prevent stuck pipe, and enhance drilling stability and lifespan in complex underground formations.
Performance
The specific functions of oil-soluble graphite in drilling fluids are as follows:
- Improved drill bit efficiency and extended service life: Graphite powder in drilling fluid forms a black coating that fills the capillaries on the drill bit surface, providing lubrication, reducing the contact area between the drill bit and the wellbore, lowering friction, and thus improving drilling efficiency and extending drill bit life.
- Reduced mud jamming: During drilling, as drilling depth increases, wellbore pressure increases, easily causing mud to jam the drill bit. Adding graphite solid lubricant forms a black, glue-like solid lubricant coating, isolating the drill string from direct contact with the mud cake on the wellbore, preventing mud from adhering to the drill bit and wellbore, and reducing mud jamming.
- Reduced drilling time and costs: Due to the effect of oil-soluble solid graphite, the increased drill bit efficiency can reduce drilling time and costs.
- Improves mud cake quality and reduces mud cake friction: Oil-soluble graphite powder can penetrate the mud cake, making it denser, smoother, and more resilient. This improves the lubrication of the mud cake, reduces frictional resistance between the drill string and the wellbore, and enhances wellbore lubrication and wellbore stability.
- Prevents collapse and reinforces the wellbore: Graphite powder in drilling fluid not only acts as a lubricant but also reinforces the wellbore, preventing collapse and ensuring smooth drilling operations.

Packaging & Shipping
Packaging: Packaging is provided in 25kg three-in-one kraft paper bags or paper-plastic composite bags. Custom packaging is also available upon request.
Storage and Transportation: When storing, take precautions against heat and moisture, and the stacking layer should not exceed 20 layers. The ideal storage temperature is 15℃ to 30℃. Dry powder should be kept 20cm off the ground and 20cm away from walls, and stacked no more than 10 layers high.
