Description

Oilfield defoamer is primarily organosilicon polyether copolymer defoamers. It rapidly dissolve and disperse, effectively penetrating auxiliary materials and the interior of the drilling mud to suppress and eliminate foam. This enhances the effectiveness of additives, improves the lubrication of drilling mud, and increases the cooling effect of drilling equipment, thereby improving the efficiency of oil extraction. Furthermore, it possesses good chemical stability and low silicon content, effectively preventing any negative impact on subsequent oil processing stages.

Application

Organosilicon defoamers are primarily used to eliminate foam in oil and gas drilling, but their effectiveness varies depending on the fluid characteristics: in oil drilling, they mainly eliminate foam generated by surfactants in the drilling fluid (mud), improving mud efficiency; in natural gas drilling, they focus on treating impurity foam introduced by the gas flow, preventing blockages in gathering and transportation pipelines. Both applications benefit from its low surface tension, water insolubility, and chemical inertness, allowing it to work efficiently in complex fluids.

  1. Eliminating Surfactant Foam: Oil drilling fluids typically contain large amounts of surfactants, emulsifiers, and lubricants, easily generating stubborn foam. Silicon defoamer agent quickly disperses and breaks down the foam structure, preventing foam from carrying sand and gravel that could affect mud performance.
  2. Maintaining Mud Density and Flowability: Eliminating foam ensures constant drilling fluid density, preventing safety accidents such as blowouts due to density decreases, and reducing fluid friction resistance.

  5. Prevent downstream pipeline blockage: Natural gas often contains liquid impurities (water or hydrocarbons), which can easily generate foam during transportation. Defoamer can prevent pressure fluctuations and pipeline blockages caused by foam.
  6. Improve separation efficiency: Adding defoamer to gas-liquid separators can accelerate the separation of the liquid phase from the gas phase.

Packaging: 50/200/1000kg plastic drums, tightly sealed.

Transportation: Handle with care; protect from sunlight, rain, and moisture; keep away from heat sources, fire sources, strong acids and alkalis; keep away from oxidizers, food, and animal feed.

Storage: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place to avoid contamination and deterioration, which could affect the defoaming effect. If not used completely at once, extra care should be taken to ensure proper sealing. The product has a shelf life of 12 months at room temperature (25°C). The optimal usage time for the diluted solution is within 8 hours.

Notes
